About
Beihai Park is one of China's ancient imperial gardens, centered around the serene Beihai Lake. Historically, it served as an imperial palace and is situated in Beijing, which also happens to be my hometown.
I captured these photos during my winter vacation in Beijing. Unlike the chilly Canadian winter, Beijing's winter is relatively warm. Taking advantage of the pleasant weather, I invited my mother for a leisurely stroll in Beihai Park. It had been a while since we spent time together, and I deeply missed her. As we ambled, a mist enveloped the tranquil lake, casting a hazy glow over the entire park and resulting in subdued colors. The view was ethereal. Ducks and their ducklings floated serenely on the sunlit lake, mirroring the peaceful moment shared between my mother and me.
